Job Description:

Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Records on participant's charts as services are given. Records initial and final evaluations, makes daily progress notes, and schedules participants for further treatment. Works in close cooperation with staff and participants as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team.

Requirements:

-Valid California Nursing License. 

-Bilingual a plus.

PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN (PSYCH TECH):

Job Description:

Care for mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed individuals, following physician instructions and program procedures. Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff. May participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs, and help with personal hygiene.

Requirements:

- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician.

Job Description:

Plans a comprehensive program tailored to the needs and limitations of adults and frail elderly participants to promote optimum health, independence and self care, and increase/ maintain social skills and self-esteem.  Develops treatment plans individualized to participant needs and functional status.  Participates in Multi-Disciplinary team meetings reviewing each caseload.  Maintains accurate progress notes reflective of daily participation and progression. Develops monthly newsletter and calendar for center. 

Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy. 

- Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification preferred. 

- Bilingual a plus.

Job Description:

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Job Title:

Program Assistant Aide

Time Committment Required:

2-5 days per week.  4-5 hours per day

Purpose of Volunteer Job:

- To assist core staff in arranging for and effectively coordinating daily health care needs. 

- Establish a friendly relationship with adults and seniors with multiple disabilities

- Provide support during community activities

Requirements:

- Bilingual a plus.

- Experience in working with varying medical conditions such as psychiatric, mental disorders, physical impairments, and frail elderly populations a plus but not required. 

- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment with staff, participants and other volunteers
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies and procedures

- Transportation (by personal car or bus) is necessary.

- Desire to assist with the overall development and improvement in the quality of life of the participants.
